In the past decade or so the Indian YouTube space has exploded. With increasing broadband connections and an expanding 3G (now even 4G) networks, the viewership has grown exponentially. Many of the nation’s young are also fed up of the boring saas-bahu nonsense on TV. There are therefore, turning to YouTube to watch what they like, when they like it. In such a situation, you cannot afford to miss out on the pop-culture!
So, here are 5 Indian youtube channels that you absolutely need to follow:
1. All India Bakchod (AIB)
They are the undisputed trend setters of Indian YouTube scene. Recently, they became infamous for a “roast” they did, which was apparently too in-the-face for Indian sensibilities. But the FIRs did them more good than bad. They are after-all, a household name now!
They regularly team up with other Indian YouTub-ers who are international stars, like ||Superwoman|| and Jus Reign. Follow them for politically incorrect humour with heavy doses of sarcasm.

2. The Viral Fever (TVF)
I don’t think there is anyone between 15-25 in India who has not come across these guys at least once. What started as a bunch of IIT kids getting together and spoofing popular movies, has turned out to be the industry leader in India. From Anurag Kashyap to SRK, all have worked with them. And when Arnab Goswami himself sponsors you, then kuch to baat hogi!
Their Permanent Roommates was India’s first completely online web series. Its finale was also the first longer than 30 minutes YouTube video to go viral. Turns out, they are true to their name!!

3. Being Indian
This channel is by and large a one man show. Sahil Khattar goes around with a mic asking people questions and it is the most hilarious thing you’ll see on YouTube. If you want to watch natural, unplanned videos, this is the channel for you. His quick wit adds that extra zing to the already super funny situations and interactions.

4. SnG Comedy
“I am Akshay Kumar’s chest hair waxer. But now I also make YouTube videos with Schitz En Giggles Comedy” That’s the introduction they have reserved for themselves. These guys specialize in small skits that ridicule the everyday nuances of our life. Funny, authentic and original, these guys are only getting better with each video.

5. East India Comedy
These are a group of stand-up comics. Each one of them is brilliant in his own right. Obviously, all of them together is a laugh riot! This channel is like the funny version of your GK class because their topics are always so current and happening. Follow this channel if you are looking for the who’s who of Indian stand-up comedy scene.
