We’re into the second half of Season 6 and everything’s been shaken up already. Jessie and her two kids are dead (Finally. I would have put a bullet in each of their heads a while ago). There have been quite a few interesting characters that have come and gone on the Television show. Here’s out list of the top 10 characters that made us want to watch the walking dead:
10. Shane Walsh:
He was the asshole everyone threw their popcorn at. You could even say that he was the bad guy in season one. He was the wild card and had a way to always keep us on the edge.
9. Carl Grimes:
A young Rick in the making for sure. He has shown some impressive growth over the seasons. His character has grown just as well as his hair.
8. The Governor:
The badass everyone loved to hate. Every moment he spent on screen was unpredictable. He is one of the best charismatic sociopaths ever.
7. Merle Dixon:
If Daryl is the Yin then Merle is the Yang. Even though he was missing for a major part of the show, no one has forgotten him. That may be because he has a knife for one arm. It is a real shame that the character was killed off though.
6. Carol Peletier:
A woman who was subject to domestic abuse. Boy can she dish it out though. She has had the most consistent growth in the entire series. Her transformation is an inspiration to women all over the world.
5. Glenn Rhee:
Let’s just call him the cute guy who everyone loves. People were devastated when they thought he was dead. It was quite a relief when we learnt he survived. He’s awesome to say the least.
4. Morgan Jones:
The story on how he changed into the man he is in the current day is amazing. He’s been a psycho who wrote stuff on walls and set up traps everywhere. Now he’s having a hard time killing in a world surrounded by the dead.
A badass I would not want to mess with. Ooh and Katanas. How badass do you need to be in order to walk around with two walkers as pet dogs? She’s independent and gentle. What more could you want?
2. Daryl Dixon:
Some say he deserves the number 1 spot. But he’s number 2 because he always looks to Rick for advice. He is the perfect person to be around during the apocalypse. He’s a survivor and has developed a strong sense of morality with time.
1. Rick Grimes:
The man with the plan. And sometimes without. He has the hardest job of guiding the group while still trying to be a good father to Carl and Judith. He gets a lot of stick but at the end of the day everyone looks to him for the next move.
