A beard is considered a sign of manliness. We think that is not only a sign, but a necessity to show that you’ve overpassed puberty. And chicks dig it, which is a well-deserved bonus.
He was there
Black bearded,
Turning her on
With a voice
That gets hold of her system
Like Opium
And sends her tripping
On waves she will never ride
And grounds she will never walk on
-Lyn Al-Abiad
From time to time, men were known because of their beard or their beard was known thanks to them. Whichever is the cause here, we’ve gathered seven names that are bearded and proud.
1. Dan Bilzerian – Millionaire
Words can’t describe Dan’s lifestyle. But maybe images can. That’s why he has 16,6 million followers on Instagram. Well, with all that guns and the beard he kind of looks like Action Hank from Dexter’s Laboratory. And he is one stylish bearded millionnaire.
2. Fidel Castro – Cuban President
When you survive some CIA assassination attempts, you can call yourself a badass. Just look at him, carefree, with a messy beard, enjoying a nice Cuban cigar and a nonchalant look to the problems of the world.
3. Conor McGregor – UFC fighter
Starting from the bottom, like Drake, Conor fought for his dream and reached his goal: to be a UFC champion. And his beard surely agitated some fellows at the official scale. Not to forget the boisterous combination of his beard and his tattoo. Killer looks, indeed!
4. Zach Galifianakis – Actor
Zach’s beard was made famous in “Hangover”. Although it kind of gives him a goofy look, his beard is well-known in Hollywood and hence, worldwide. And not only his beard, we also love his smile… don’t we?
5. Abraham Lincoln – U.S. President
One of the toughest US Presidents, Lincoln owned some of his badass looks to his beard. #Didyouknow Booth was just jealous that he could only grow a lame moustache and not get bearded as grandly as Lincoln? And guess what, Lincoln used this beard to cover his hollow cheeks which his daughter hated. Intentions matter, always!
6. Moeen Ali – Cricket player
Ali is an English international cricketer known all over the world for his beard. And something tells us that he’s a real character in airports. Just saying…imagine running the metal detector over his beard?!
7. Mr. T – Actor & former wrestler
Lawrence Tureaud, by his real name, is well-known for his Baracus role in the 1980s television series A-Team. With an African Mandinka warrior hairstyle and a crazy-ass beard, T looks like he could eat you alive. We pity the fool that crosses his path.
And now it is time for some reality check:
“When I last went out for dinner,
People were looking at me weird,
It’s only when I got home late,
I saw burger in my beard.”
-Peter J Thomas
